Term 2 Week 5 May 12, 2020

Day 18! Thinking Tuesday...

Level 2 is on the horizon! We are looking forward to planning with you for our return to school. Think about having a container (can or jar) to put on your desk for your pens, pencils and a ruler. (Decorated with your name!) We will make sure that you only use your own stationery, so we need to be organised. You will also need to bring your own device (fully charged) every day so that we are not sharing equipment.

If, during this lockdown, you are out of routine, work on getting back to going to bed early and rising earlier so that you are 'school ready' for Monday. Also, keep practising your safe hygiene habits and keeping your hands away from your face! That will be tough!

Sharing our Learning from May 11th...

  1. Good morning Room 15. I continue to enjoy and learn from all the learning that you are sharing. Thank you!
Cimone, I fully agree with your observation - a book can seem to be quite boring to start with, but once you get further into the story it can become hard to put down. So perseverence pays off! Great learning.
Thank you for your thoughtful Cinquains, Milana and Liam - they say so much with so few well-chosen words.
I found your reseaarch on deer very interesting, Poppy, as I too love the cold, fresh air of the Southern Alps. I was very surprised to see wallabies myself while cycling the Otago Rail Trail a few years ago - they had spread across from Waimate and have become another real pest, just like the wild deer. It is rather sad that such beautiful creatures can be a pest outside of their native habitat. So thank you to your Dad and friends for helping to protect our native flora and fauna!
